Simplification of the application menu and navigation
Navigation improvements
We've made several improvements to the application menu (the navigation on the left-hand side of the app) to make related features easier to find and better reflect how they're used.
Maintenance Windows are now grouped with the monitoring types they support
Maintenance Windows can now be accessed directly from both Uptime Monitors and Push Monitors. As Maintenance Windows currently support uptime and push monitoring, grouping them alongside these features makes them easier to discover and keeps related functionality together.
Contact Groups are now Notification Groups
To better reflect their purpose, Contact Groups have been renamed to Notification Groups. Notification Groups define who should receive alerts when an incident occurs.
Integrations are now Notification Channels
Integrations have been renamed to Notification Channels. This better describes their role as the delivery methods used to send notifications, including services such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, PagerDuty and webhooks.Together, these changes make the notification workflow easier to understand:
- Notification Groups → Who receives notifications.
- Notification Channels → How notifications are delivered.
These updates are part of our ongoing effort to simplify the application menu and make StatusCake easier to navigate and use.
